My new friends and I get along well, I just don't want to lose them

When I say we've "grown apart" I mean I no longer care to hang out with them as find them annoying/embarassing.

a) Just tell them you have other plans - eventually they'll quit asking.

b) Ignore them.

c) Just be yourself. If they don't like you for you then they're not real friends.

I'm not sure why you don't want to be friends with these other people, but if necessary just tell them that you "grown apart" from them and would appreciate it if they'd quit following you around.

However, be careful. Friendships are a wonderful gift. I'd hate to see you drive people away and regret it later. Make sure you have a good reason for not wanting to be friends with these people before ignoring them or anything else.

Why aren't you liked enough by your new crowd? It seems that you should naturally be with this new crowd because your interests and theirs mess. You shouldn't have to do or say anything that isn't part of who you are in order to better fit in.

Why not be honest with the old crowd? I thyink we need more info about why you have 'grown apart' but you should let them know (all of them???). they deserve an answer.

just be honest with everyone involved. you can be friends with more than just one group of people. stand up for yourself and don't worry about what anyone else thinks. and make sure you're hanging around this "new crowd" for the right reasons. you shouldn't have to worry about ways to get them to like you more okay? you just be yourself.
Best Wishes
