I just got a chance at seeing it after waiting six weeks for it to become available on my wife's Blockbuster account.

Personally, I couldn't think of a better way to launch a new series. It was well done in my opinion. But it left me questions about why the Haydonites went evil on the EF. I thought after the 'End of the Circle' Haydon himself had taken his race to another dimension. Had he left something of himself behind?

And will there more episodes coming?

Thanks!

I rather enjoyed it. The CG work was excellent and I was glad to revisit the robotech universe again. It's true that Harmony Gold has made a mess of some of their reinterpretations of robotech in the past but as long as they continue to put something out I'll watch it. I would have liked to have seen a bit more music in it though. Looking forward to the sequel which is said to be in production.

I didn't really care for it. I saw it when it premiered in Hawaii at the Louis Vuitton Hawaii International Film Festival. I felt the voice acting was corny and unreralistic. For example, when the ship was under attack, none of the crew seemed phased at all. The animation was decent but had far too many "eyeball closeups" and gritting teeth for my taste. For the Robotech fan, this movie might have been something but there was a lot of razzing going on in the audience at certain points of the movie where they felt that the movie went from bad to ridiculous.

This is MHO on the movie itself. I'm a robotech fan and a Macross fan as well but this movie was just a waste of my time.
