I am polite and graceful and say "Thank You!"
p.s. if you just blow it off? You are then dicounting that persons opinion...not nice.

I used to act like it's no big deal, but now I know it's important to say "thank you".
When you blow it off, it's like saying to the person that their compliment doesn't really mean anything to you... it's always better to smile and say thank you

I tend to politely and gracefully blow it off and act like it's no big deal. Southern girls are raised that way.

I'm polite & graceful but on the inside I'm thinking " What do you want when you act like that?"

Depends on the compliment. Sometimes, I really try to get people not to compliment me because I usually haven't done anything to deserve it. But if it's something I want to be complimented for, I say thank you.

I smile and say thank you, but the truth is that I rather blow compliments off.

I always say thank you.
Giving a compliment to someone is not necessary and shrugging it off is a sign of being ungrateful.
A simple thank you goes a long way.

I wish I could accept the compliment gracefully. Unfortunately, I immediately discount the compliment before thinking about it.
