I'm a high school freshman now, and I plan to be a member of NHS in my junior year, but I heard that you have to be in NJHS when you were in middle school in order to be a part of NHS, is that true?

It is not true. In high school (probably spring of10th grade) you can apply for NHS. If you are not accepted that year, you can reapply in 11th and 12 grade. As long as you get accepted before you graduate, you are a full member. NHS does not use anything that happened before 9th grade to determine if you are eligible or not.

Nope. I was never in JNHS but got in NHS during high school. I'm going to a meeting tonight, in fact!
