keep waiting he will make his presance felt more toward the end of this month of pregnancy but here are som fun facts about your little guy!
TEN GROWTH MILESTONES AT SEVENTEEN TO TWENTY WEEKS
By the end of this month you can feel your cantaloupe-sized uterus at the level of your navel. Other growth milestones include:
Your baby weighs around three-quarters of a pound, and measures between 8-10 inches long. This is about half the length baby will be at birth.
Baby's legs, now around the size of your little finger, continue growing, become more muscular, and make their presence felt as tiny flutter kicks.
He waves his growing, but still tiny, arms. On ultrasound, you may see him sucking his thumb and making a fist.
Baby hair is beginning to appear on his upper lid, eyebrows, and head.
His skin, previously thin and transparent, now begins to accumulate fat deposits.
Baby's oil glands start to secrete a waxy substance that mixes with his dead skin cells to form a cheesy coating, called the Vernix caseosa, which acts like a sort of wetsuit protecting the little swimmer's skin from chapping.
Fine, temporary hair—called lanugo (meaning "wool")—covers most of his body and helps to hold the vernix on the skin.
Baby's digestive system functions better now, and he regularly swallows amniotic fluid and urinates into it.
By this month, baby's middle ear structures have formed, enabling baby to hear sound.
Still, baby cannot yet survive outside the womb at this stage because his lungs are still undeveloped.
Many mothers feel this month of pregnancy – from the 17th week through the 21st – is one of the most rewarding. You're probably feeling pretty good, and it's now obvious to the whole world that you're growing a baby. Expect to be on the receiving end of the perks of being pregnant as well as the unwanted advice. You go public in your lead role in the most awesome drama of life. Better yet, you can now feel your little co-star moving. And this month you reach a milestone in your pregnancy – believe it or not, you are halfway there!

Sometimes it just takes a little longer for other women to feel their baby move for the first time. sometimes women say that they feel a flutter like feeling for the first couple times. The baby's kicks and hits aren't really that noticeable until a few more weeks after. I felt my baby move at 16 weeks, but i had to pay close attention. I'm now almost 25 weeks and she does not stay still!!! =]. Also around 20-22weeks other people will be able to feel the baby kick and move from the outside of your belly!
Congratulations, and don't worry, you'll feel your child soon!=]

While an ultrasound can identify fetal movement as early as 7 to 8 weeks of pregnancy, women generally don't begin to feel the baby move until sometime between 16 and 22 weeks or later, particularly if it's the woman's first pregnancy.
The initial sensations you'll notice aren't real kicks, either. Instead, some women describe the feeling as being like popcorn popping or butterflies in the stomach. If you don't feel any activity by 22 weeks, ask your doctor or midwife about it.
After a while, you'll begin to discern a pattern to your baby's movement and you'll know if something's amiss. If he's not moving as often as he usually does, your baby may be in distress. Ask your practitioner when and how to count your baby's kicks.

Some people don't feel movement until around 20 weeks. I really don't think feeling movement from the inside has anything to do with your size, considering you're feeling it with your uterus and not your epidermis. But don't worry, it's perfectly normal for those kicks to be loo light and weak for you to feel for another few weeks. I know how frustrating the wait is, though. I'm only 14 weeks so I've got a while to go! But some women say that lying flat on their back after drinking somehting sugary helps them feel those first movements...but if the movements are too weak, they're too weak and you'll just have to wait. Good luck not going crazy in the meantime!

Most people don't feel their baby move until after 20 weeks. Sometimes it's more like 22-24. Women who have had babies before tend to feel it a little bit earlier, but by 17 weeks you shouldn't expect to.

lol I remember having that frustration. Then after awhile you'll long for those days when the baby starts moving around while you're trying to sleep.
Anyway, relax give it time. You'll feel something soon.

If this is your first pregnancy, you probably are feeling the baby move but don't realize it. Be patient! Once you start feeling the baby move it never stops and it can get uncomfortable towards the end of your pregnancy.

You most likely have felt your baby move and don't even know what that sensation is supposed to feel like. Early in your pregnancy it is not a dramatic sensation but more like gas bubbles or butterfly wings. Hope this helps!

It will happen in its own time, I didnt feel my first child move until 19 weeks. I should start out as a flutter, like the feeling you get when you are nervous. Just be patient!
