With millions of people, there are hundreds of personal reasons. I think the big reasons are (1) finding out there were never any WMD (weapons of mass destructions); (2) the relatively high number of American casualties; (3) unrealistic expectations (everyone assumed the Iraqi people would welcome us and democracy but instead they view us as an occupying force and want us out)

If the US is anything like Australia there was precious little support for the war even before it started. The Australian government sent troops to Iraq as well as ships. It has been estimated that 60 to 80% of Australian opposed that.
For that reason alone the Australian government needs to be kicked out in the next election. I would like to see their party reduced to a pitiful remnant, just a few members. And I hope our slimy lying Prime Minister loses his seat, which is a distinct possibility. I can't wait for their party to come door-knocking so I can tell them to get off my land or I will charge them with trespass.
In a local shopping mall there were shops with "NO WAR" on the INSIDE of the windows. I have never seen anything like that before, even in the days of Vietnam where Australia also had troops.
It was clear enough from the start that there were no WMDs left in Iraq and there was no, or very slight linkage to terrorism. In fact a number of people in Australia who pointed this out were either sacked by the government or slandered from within the Parliament.

Because scarcely anyone was for any involvement in a remote desert war that posed no threat either to the United States nor the world at large. Answers as yet are not forthcoming for the grounds or prosecution of a war that was pretty much entered into in a bullheaded sort of way.
It may've been feasible during the invasion of Kuwait, however the U.S. was a bit too prominent in it's presence rather than having the so called world armed forces community shoulder a manifest burden.
The reasons for that little escapade to their profoundest, yet in the ethereal archives of the spy community equally not forthcoming.
This to the cost of many U.S. troops who irrespectively gave unstintingly and have since suffered considerably health wise.
I think all those video rentals of shoot 'em ups erased the line between Technicolor Blood and the real thing.
Hey.
Getting shot hurts.

Same reason every time. We, as Americans, have short memories and shorter attention spans. Especially in this day and age, like right now using the Internet. Can you sit and wait for dial-up today? Hell no, too damn slow, right? We have a need to move on and patience is not our strong suit, though we need it in this war (on terror). It won't be over for generations.

I don't believe there ever was that much support for the war. Sure - some people were fooled into thinking that it would somehow settle the score about 9/11, but any clear-thinking person could see that it was just a ruse.

It seems to me that human casualties on the American side are the primary reason. A close secondary reason is the lack of stability or faith in the new Iraqi government.

Because the public is a bunch of wimps. A bunch of crybabies. Not in it for the long haul. When the terrorists gain control of the oil flow and $5.00/gal gasoline is cheap, they will see their errors. But as the world economy is teetering it may be too late then.

Because people's anger over 9/11 slowly faded and they stopped making rash decisions such as wanting war with a country that had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11.

Because it was a stupid idea at its inception, and Bush isn't smart enough to keep people fooled for long. Not only did more and more of his lies becoming exposed, but his way of dealing with it when he was confronted with those lies made him look more like a buffoon.
