How do I answer this without sounding hateful?????? Here goes. Why do you say that white people want black people to fail? This kind of thinking and attitude is what makes people angry. The white man is keeping me down. That is total BS. Please stop using the race card, it is fading very fast.

It is not a matter of race. Maybe because some white people dont want a black pr woman president.. feeling that other countries would think of the USA as inferior for it. I do hate Barry Bonds. He has no right to continue playing and eventually break the home run record this year. If he was white it would be all the same. Black people hate Bonds also. As for Kobe, yea hes alright.
Not all white people want black people to fail.. that is just ridicilous. If that were the case, nobody would watch the NCAA tournament. 90% black players, but everyone has one team they want to go all the way and succeed.

OK...Bonds lies, cheats and in general has been a jag to the press and fans for years. He talks all sorts of "history of the sport" and is related and has been around so many hall of fame players then pisses on them by cheating, and like many rich snob baseball players, he thinks his ability to hit a baseball puts him above the law...he will make a pretty prison *****. Nothing to do with race.
Kobe...the whole "look at me I'm Michael Jordan" act is so old, I was bless to live in Chicago during the championship run, the kid has no personality of his own, he steals everything he is from Jordan...if he was the slight bit original i could put up with him. The whole rape thing not rape thing...he is a hell of a b-bal player, but, let's face it, he will never win without Shaq. Nothing to do with race.
Obama...He's got my vote and full support, about time we had a "person of color" in the white house...but tell me this, if we can have a black president, the highest office in the land, can we stop with all the reparations and benefits that black Americans get? I think the playing field is now equal and bad schools and poverty are not just a black thing.
so in closing...why bother to take time with the racists in this country, they will all die soon, all the WWII call us the "greatest generation" racists will be dead and we can go on living as one...a new United States...all men created equal.

I'm white.
I live in the Bay Area and follow the Giants; I do not like Barry Bonds but I can't say I hate him.
I intensely dislike Kobe Bryant, but in honesty that partly has to do with the fact that he plays for the Los Angeles Lakers, and we here in northern California are trained to hate L.A. teams. My favorite NBA player is black, Tim Duncan; he's a great player and a classy guy.
Barack Obama I have no opinion of, because I know little about him, and it's way too early for me to be thinking about the next presidential election.

I haven't noticed much hate in regards to Kobe but it's so blatant you can't miss it with Barry. I think because of Barry's image of being aloof/standoffish in the past made others hate him. Then we got those two SF Chronicle sportswriters with that Book of Shadows making others think he's even worse than before. Has Barry taken steroids I can't say but according to this book that was put out Barry has had substantial growth in the size of his head and feet. I wouldn't waste my time detesting and talking down those who take illegal substances because only God knows. Besides one thing I know to be true: If he took them he won't live too long (i.e. Lyle Alzado, Ken Caminiti, Flo Jo and various other athletes who admitted or were accused of taken steroids.)
Barack Obama is feeling the heat mainly because he's in the midst of a presidential campaign. He's a nonthreatening intelligent black man and I think the media believe that the more than can try to discredit or bring him down the better. Then again the media tries to spill the dirt on all the candidates.

I'm a white and I don't hate them. I admire Barry Bonds. I'm a Libertarian, and I believe if people want to use steroids, or other drugs, it's only THEIR business!
I dislike Kobe a tiny bit. Nothing to do with color, but although he's a great player, he's not the superstar he thinks he is.

Barry is just an A$$ - I have met him
Kobe brings it on himself - Probably shouldn't have raped that girl. Probably should pass the ball once in awhile.
Barack - I don't have a problem with, I have never met him but he seems ok.
Sammy is a steroid freak and he brought it all on himself.
A-Rod is an A$$ just like Barry. I had a friend that roomed with him years ago.
You don't mention Kevin Garnett, great guy. Ronnie Lott was a good guy. Roger Craig from the 49ers. Mitch Richmond great guy, Waymon Tisdale (sac Kings back in the day) - Great guy. Jerry Rice was very cool. I have met all these people. Have you heard many bad stories about them?
The problem is you are just focusing on the bad comments about bad people. The media seems to focus on the bad. You will never hear of good things being done by good people. Not much of a story there.

I didnt realize Barrack Obama is hated... But for Kobe and Bonds they both have attitude problems. Kobe comes off as a stuck up, selfish, and cocky ball player. Bonds had a horrible PR early in his career. I don't hear people hating Lebron or Chris Paul, dont just play the race card and say that is it.

There is a simple answer to this question. First, I'm going to take on the bonds situation. Baseball is considered America’s sport and from its beginning it has been predominantly white, so the emergence of black players has always been a problem. Basically it comes down to this, I won’t say all or many because I don’t know for sure but baseball fans don’t want the best player of all time to be black, they want it to be Babe Ruth or another white player. As far as the steroid allegations, so what, baseball has known about this existence for years now and they say nothing because they made money every time somebody like Bonds, McGuire or Sosa came close to breaking to homerun records. Especially when baseball was in a slump and people stopped watching it as football and basketball became everyone’s favorite sport. The MLB was going to let anything slide as long as it boasted baseballs ratings, why else would they give a player, what is it like 10 strikes before your even in trouble for using steroids, where as in other sports your suspended on your first offense. I would bet about 50% of players have used or are using steroids I can’t base it on anything except, the simple fact that the physical appearance of baseball players is completely different from all other athletes in every other sport. You do the math.
Kobe is just in a situation of total lies. Yes he is filthy rich, yes he is married, yes he cheated on his wife and had sex with a white women and NO, he didn't rape her. people are mad that he got off but, seriously why would he throw away his career over sex from some ditsy 19 year old hotel clerk, thats right, he wouldn't if she didn't want to have sex with him then he would have said ok, then walked down to the lobby and said Hey, I'm Kobe Bryant who wants to have sex with me and then 20 girls would have all gone crazy and tried to kill each other for a chance to have sex with a superstar and thats what really happened.
And the Barack Obama situation is simple no one is ready for a black president, although I think he gets alot of support from all races of people he just appears to be an honest politician.

Hey! Don't catagorize me so easily. I'm hoping Obama wins the nomination to run. I like what he says and I think America has earned a change. I sure don't want Clinton's wife in there even tho' a woman in the white house would be a change. That would put Clinton back in there. And, yeah, I'm 'white' and also female and I'd vote for Obama in a NY minute even tho' I'm from Texas.
