This all has to do with feelings. But basically, if you were dying, would you want your loved ones to be sorry for you and spend all their time just watching you die? Most people, when they care for someone and they care for them, it's best to not let them see you die, because your suffering, why do you want anyone else to? Sometimes... They don;t want you to feel hurt when they are dying.

I wish i had the accurate answer.. I guess its just their way of wanting to be alone. My grandmother who is only 70 has cancer full blown to her body, she does not want people seeing her or spend time with her. All she wants to do is sleep. It breaks my heart because i think i would be the other way around you know.. I guess everyone is different.

some dying people DO want time with family and friends... my brother-in-law did, he had cancer and only lived 3 months from the time he found out... we were all there helping him leave this life...
