Haha, to me it seems as though its taking a toll on my partner too, I mean hes excited in all about having a child but, he can almost be as bitter as me sometimes!

So I dont know if this is a real answered question, its kind of more of a , is your partner like this too?, kind of question.

He's just nervous. Men take on a lot of responsibility (especially financial stress) with a baby. That's probably what he's feeling.

I am taking this family and marriages class, and it seems to be that pregnancies do have an effect on men. Men worry about the financial responsibility of now having to raise another family member. They also worry about how this pregnancy will affect their sexual life, whether sex will increase or decrease. Sometimes they are the ones who fear having sex because they might hurt the baby or make their partner uncomfortable. They also worry about now that they are a father, they will not have as much of a social life.

Not with all men. My husband has definately gotten symptoms. He is constantly eating where as before he ate like once a day. He has gained like 20 pounds with me. He's more tired and lazy then before. He even gets cravings. Just hang in there its over soon enough and then he will be back to normal. Good luck and congrats.

lol umm it depends if your talking about mood swings then i have noticed that i get mood swings too, but there was a time when i coulnt eat or else i would throw it up, my girlfriend thought the same that her being pregnant affects me too but really its because i was so stressed about going to b a father and if i was ready and scared i have never been a father before this is my first she's 4 months pregnant so that could be why, mood swings could be just because your moody and he cant handle it or cant get used to it or maybe your being demanding well in other word becoming a parent is very scary and stressful but for myself i cant wait i become a father.

Ugh, yes!!

Mine's also "attention seeking" at the moment. I think he feels that I'm the centre of attention with everyone, including his family. This ends up meaning that when he has a little sniffle it is MAJOR FLU, and when he bumps his arm it's PROBABLY BROKEN... LOL!!

He's nesting too, which is quite amusing! I've been nesting for a few days now (I'm 35 weeks), and he's started as well - he ironed EVERYTHING in our wardrobe today, and he sweeps the floor daily... Cute!

But yes, men are often as hormonal and wierd as us during our pregnancies!!

:-) Congrats by the way!

There are men who have gotten sympathy symtoms of pregnancy such as mood swings, nausea and vomitting, and even weight gain and cravings. My boyfriend sometimes has more mood swings than I do and I'm not even 3 months along. I have a long road ahead of me too. Best of luck. =D
