if you got a good wax on it,then washing it wont be necessary to wax it again, not until you wash it a few times.

It's unnecessary and is bad for the paint, you will get a large wax build up on the paint, if you have a dark colored car and want to get rid of the watermarks after washing it just use McGuires spray detailer instead of waxing and wax your car 2 or 3 times a year.

Washing a car deteriorates the paint over time and a good coat of wax about every third or forth washing will pay dividends if you plan to keep the car for a length of time. I might add that when you wax, invest in a good can of McGuires wax. It is among the best around.

Everytime you wash your car, you remove some of the wax. Every time you wax the car, you build up a certain amount of wax. So in effect, you are putting wax on wax.
PS: Why would anyone want to wax a car every time it is waxed.
So it stands to reason it is unnecessary, unessesary, unecceccary, uneseccary, reallyscary, ahh, you get it. ;-)
