because in todays society humans are expendable at least the military thinks this way.
Look at the censorships to get an idea on why people dont value life.
Sex is taboo and evil and shouldnt be broadcast but violence with thousands of people being shot dying disgusting deaths is ok.

Hm, I'm probably being over the top, but this is my opinion so don't go off yelling at me, it's not necessarily everyone. But truthfully, I think it's because some people can be arrogant at times. They think they can do whatever they want whatever time, but don't really have the common sense to really appreciate what they have now. Instead of being happy, humanity always wants more, and they don't realize how much time they really don't have until it's too late. Life, it brings hardship, and I suppose they try and cover it up, by doing things that they enjoy. I think there's a lot more to it then that. People forget about life, it's not the most wonderful thing to see either.
It could just be me though, that's the way I see it. Sure you probably think I'm taking this a little over the top or whatever, but I can't see it another way. It's because of what people neglect in life, time is something we really don't have.
Anyways, hehe. Wow, I think that was a little to much; oh well. It was a fun question to answer.

Because they have lost touch with their instincts.This is the very root of ones Lifeforce,people analyse to much nowadays and become overlogical.Logic has to be balanced with feeling.It is a balance between Materialism V Spiritual Awareness.Parents in the 50s always instilled the joy of true values.

there have always been those who place no value on any life other than their own.
those who see what others have and will kill because of it. whether it's money, land or different point of view.
then there are others who hold life so dear they will die rather than harm another human being. most of us are somewhere in the middle.

Good question..maybe because of what we see on T.V? The way people have become.. having no patience, no love for others, we can't agree to disagree... I think there are lots of reasons. People are starting not to respect each others values and opinions.
