Can you ever really forget your love for someone? When they leave you can your heart ever heal?

You never forget them and you will have a part of you that has a love for them the rest of your life. The only plus is that with time the hurt fades. You can just hope the love fades also...

no u can't really ever forget them, and the heart never really does completely heal, but we have to make an effort to move on, because when we refuse to see the truth, or face that they are really gone, we can become emotionally ill. the pain does diminish in time, but the heart always remembers, but as time passes and a new life begins, the pain of the old love fades, and although still sad and regretful at times, we do move on we do realize maybe it was best. to get past this we have to start new, a new love, a new life, and leave the past where it is, and look back on it as a lesson and not something bad.

I don't think you can ever really forget your love for someone. Your heart can heal when they leave, but everyone is different. I haven't forgotten my love for those from my past. From personal experience, I can tell you that it took a LONG time for my heart to heal after one love. I don't know that you ever truly heal, but you learn to move on and live your life. Good luck!

Forget? No. But over time it will hurt less. Yes, your heart can heal over time, and if you let it heal. So many people hang on the the past and wallow in the pain of being dumped/duped/abandoned.
If you have been abandoned I am sorry for it, but it is NOT the end of the world. It feels like it, I know, but life does move on. See if there is anything you can learn from this experience and apply that lesson to your life. Good personal growth comes from life's trials.

No you can never completely forget the love you have for someone.When ever a relationship ends bad and there are hard feelings between each other there will still be a strong bond.The pain will keep you from reconnecting but the heart still feels the loss.After a long period of time the feeling will fade but the memories will still be there.

Will you forget your love? Probably not...but that doesn't mean you may not stop loving them or that the love may not change to something more plantonic and less romantic...but people who have shared significant parts of our lives we don't tend to forget.
Can your heart heal? Sure, if you let it. If you choose to cling to the hurt then you'll hurt as long as you choose to. Give yourself time to grieve and then begin the healing process. It takes Time but it can happen...there are many other wonderful things out there in the world, don't miss out on that because you are grieving over what you have lost. Look forward to what the future holds. âº

I think your heart could heal, but I don't believe that you could ever really stop loving them nor forget about them

I don't think that you can forget about people you have loved you will always have a love for them deep down in your heart. and if someone you love breaks your heart it will heal in time. :)

IM married and I've been knowing my husband all my life we fight ALOT but not once have I thoght of how my life would be different without him in my life. Which means to me I never really think that I can forget about him if we were to divorce or seperate he will always be in my heart even if I hate him.

Yes, eventually you really do move on. It can take a while, but it will happen. And a broken heart really can heal. :)
