Is it all that horrendous if a concept (whether new or reinvented) truly morphs into some kind of improvement in a person's life? 'The Secret' is a good example of a 'new take', a compilation of positive thought processes to improve one's life. A 'new take' on the premise presented 'in the day' by Norman Vincent Peale, Jack Canfield, Leo Buscaglia, etc. After all, our dreams, goals and hope keep us moving along, and help to maintain some semblance of order.

well that depends on what you believe is really best. Modern day pharmasutical companies just convince you what they are selling is good because they invest millions of dollars into one sided studies. So is that any better?
