With Companies Leaving the United States and getting cheaper labor they are forgetting that there are people that are out of work here. Shouldn't the Government start taxing these companies harder with import taxes so they would stay here and help the economy in there own back yard??

I understand your point but you are fighting a loosing battle right now. There will always be someone who is willing to work for substantially less than the American worker. The flip side of cheap labor is the final product costs less to the American consumer. There is no way for American products to compete effectively with the high costs of labor in this country. Think about what you would really pay if the price on a six dollar t-shirt reflected American wages. Americans don't just sell to America - they sell to the entire world. Now imagine trying to pass on American labor cost on that same t-shirt and then selling the t-shirt in Canada - compensate for the exchange - the product is obsolete because of price point. Now imagine that t-shirt being sold in Mexico. Or China. Or Turkey. . . Americans must accept that blue collar jobs are a thing of the past. It's sad but it' true.

I am with you...tax the hell out of the companies, they can afford it as we all know they left for cheaper labor. Contribute the additional tax dollars for health care.

I just want for the country to decide whether or not it is a capitalist nation! Suggest the notion of national healthcare, and everyone screams socialism. But when a company does what is in the best interests of the profitability of that company, everyone screams for socialism. You cannot suck and blow at the same time people!

Did you ever consider that there are more types of jobs than manufacturing? Is that why the national unemployment rate here in the US is less than 5%?
