Most hospitals don't suggest that you come in until the contractions are about 3-5 minutes apart, and you are uncomfortable with them. I know that when I worked as a L&D nurse, the majority of ladies that came in thinking they were in labour were usually in the early stages, and we usually sent them home. This is because you can do everything at home, and can probably relax more which will help your labour progress. Most hospitals will allow you to call in and just talk to a nurse, see what they think.

Unless your contractions are 5 minutes apart I would just keep walking. That is all I did the day I went into labor and it went fast. I could have told you the castor oil wouldn't work lol. Too many people make that mistake! My contractions were 4 minutes apart when I went to the hospital and my water broke after being there 2 1/2 hours. If you call the doc, they will more than likely tell you to wait until the contractions get closer together or have you come in a sit on the machines for a couple hours and send you home if no progress. I would just wait it out!

Hospital ready lists? This need to be whatever for folks who're receiving their well being care from the federal government already. I have best insurance policy via my organisation, and I've in no way needed to wait to get right into a sanatorium. We must hold well being care out of the palms of the federal government. Ask any veteran who has a option if they would ever pass to a VA sanatorium. The VA sanatorium is continually their LAST option. Why? Because the federal government is best well at country wide security. Everything else that the stick their palms into will get screwed up. Please Democrats, do not permit the federal government take over our lives like this. Once they've a vested monetary curiosity in our well being, then they're going to begin dictating what we devour, how so much we endeavor, how so much sleep we get, and so on. Don't feel it's going to occur? They're already outlawing trans fats in NYC. Do you fairly wish the folks who are not able to make a decision whether or not or no longer eggs, butter, and margarine are well or dangerous for you telling you what to devour? They've turn flopped on the ones meals etc.

Drink LOTS of water, take your vitamins, and sleep as much as possible ( I know, I know... the peanut-sized bladder...). You're SOOO close and you've gotta get yourself ready for what's about to happen. I slept only about 4 hours during the 3 days I was in labor with my daughter, and that was *after* being admitted to the hospital at 1AM! If you know it's coming (and oh boy, it is!), then all I can tell you is GET READY!!

To be on the safe side you should call your doctor, but I wouldn't worry if your contractions aren't regular. I am 29 weeks and I have contractions all the time, it's just false labor.

hang in there until your having regular strong contractions about 5 Min's apart and lasting about a minute, other wise they'll prob send you back home anyway.
but if your waters break go straight in to prevent infection.
good luck not long now

Wait until your contractions are regular and 5 minutes apart.
Not everyone's water breaks before active labor. I believe only 10% actually break before active labor starts.

You dont need your water to break to be "closer"....but you do need/want contractions to be much closer together.... they should come steadily and less than 8-10 minutes apart. If they're irregular you're not fully in labor just yet.

When you feel the pain begin to get unbearable go to the hospital.
You can deliver anywhere from 37-42 weeks.
Good luck and congrats.
