Don't you think its pretty sad that the President won't allow schools to teach about safe sex methods anymore, but instead choose to teach what to do if.....how is this helping society?

Plato pondered over what this world is coming to back in his day. The schools are not what they used to be. I'm still upset that they took prayer (a moment of silence) out of the schools. Don't let me get started on the Pledge of Allegiance. And I can't get over that English is not spoken here as it should be. The only flag that goes up the flagpole in this country should be the red, white and blue. I could go on and on and on. . . . . . .

Well child it is going to get a lot worse. They should be teaching safe and CLEAN sex. Although i have seen ads where they are encouraging abstinence and waiting. They say pursue your dreams sex can Wait. I think this is very wise advice . But I fear it is falling on a lot of unwise ears. This is mainly due to the pride and arrogance that is so prevalent in this time. Believe me i have learned the hard way. god bless.

I am sure there a strong Southern conservative Christian lobby behind this decision. I am also a Chrisitian but I also have common sense. I would WANT my children to know about safe sex, and they WILL know whether or not the school is permitted to tell them about it. I see no reason why they should not know.
Unless you want to make the consequences of having sex (if they slip up and have it as millions of teens do every year) as traumatic and disastrous for them as possible.
You are asking millions of teenagers who are going through the most hormonally raging years of their lives (for boys they are actually at their sexual peak) to practice at least FIFTEEN or MORE years of celebacy from puberty (around 12) to the average age of marriage which is 27. How many of us are TRULEY capable of that? Was Bush even capable of that in HIS day?

well ask yourself this, do you want your daughter having sex at lets say six years old because it is safe, because that is exactly what safe sex is teaching in schools today, so you make the call.
