In 2006 they predicted because of global warming, 20 hurricanes to hit the USA, 7 over cat 4. We did not get hit by any, what are your thoughts.

Weather people are the only people who can be WRONG, and still get paid. With their 2006 prediction of 20 hurricanes, you only pray that this is one of the times when they're wrong and Thank God our prayers were answered.

It's very possible. Just because we had a quiet season last year, doesn't mean it will stay the same every year thereafter.

The Northeast is overdue for a '38 Hurricane as it is.

The Gulf Coast will get pounded, and future Presidents like Bush will say: "Heckuva job, Brownie!"

They didn't realize El Nino was going to occur, therefore knocking the hurricane pattern off for 2006. I'd still keep my eyes peeled this year anyway...

CNN and other news organizations MUST hype news to be competative. I'm STILL waiting for bird flu , killer bees , zebra mussles, and sasquatches to destroy me . I can't talk any longer , I have protect my computer from Y2K.
