And remarks: "I've never heard that one before"

But courteously adds: "It's a good answer anyway"

Let me guess...you are applying for an accounting position and the interviewer was checking over your math? Unless this was a company like Enron or Arthur Anderson, I doubt you get the job. Sorry Dude

The comments after the laughter don't really sound positive, but it's hard to tell out of context and they may not mean anything. A good interviewer will try to put the interviewee at ease, and laughter at a humourous comment will do the trick.

I think it is, because sometimes interviewers aren't always looking for the most qualified but someone that can work well with the other people in their office and not have a personality conflict.

Depends on what the Q & A were. If you were serious about the answer, then it probably isn't the best case. If he really liked the answer and laught out of uniqiness, then that's good.

If you answered 'Ravioli' as "What is your favorite food?" then its probably his favorite too.

If you answered 'Lawn Care' under the "Computer Skills" section, then that's probably not so good.

Not always. A better signal is being asked your shoe size, especially if the company provides a uniform. :)

As long as what you said was sort of amusing. Sounds like he liked you. I have always tried to use my sense of humor during job interviews, its hard not to when you have to talk about yourself & your life so much. Besides it keeps things lighter & friendlier.
