It probably won't be the Jays because we don't yet have a solid rotation, even though Hallday and Burnett are a fabulous 1-2 in the rotation. With a little luck, Chacin, Okha, and Towers could be a very potent 3-4-5, but injuries and headspace often get in the way. Throw in Zambrano, League [where's his fastball gone?], and Ryan, and it starts to sound better. The offense will score a lot of runs, but it's not a 1-through-9 powerhouse like the Yankees, and the Jays' hitters need to learn more patience at the plate.
Let the games begin! Go, Jays, go!!!!

World Series is between the Cards and the Red Sox. The Red Sox have one of the top pitching satffs in the MLB and their lineup has improved greatly in the past year. They really want to win it this year. The Cards have been on fire ever since they brought up Albert Pujols from thier AAA team in 2001. They are lead by a top starting pitcher and one of the best players baseball can give. The Jays don't have a very good chance. At best the will finish second in the AL East.

The Jays certainly have a shot this year if they can stay healthy and if Towers stays lookin as confident as he has been through ST. Wells, Thomas, and Glaus will let the balls fly and Hill, Rios, and Johnson will keep improving. I think that A.J. Burnett will be a suprise to a lot of people this season and that will give the whole team a boost. I definitely like their chances against the Sox and Yanks. We have always handled the Sox well and the Yanks' lineup isnt all that scary these days. We should make the playoffs and hopefully get to the big dance.
Go Jays Go!

The Texas Rangers will win the World Series. After the 1995 season the Yankees fired manager Buck Showalter and won the World Series in 1996.The Diamondbacks fired Showalter after the 2000 season and in 2001 also went on to win the World Series. The Texas Rangers fired Showalter after the 2006 season and if history tells us anything the Rangers will win the World Series.

Right now the Detroit Tigers look like the best team. But the best team doesn't always win. Being a Yankee Fan has taught me this. As long as A-WOL in October A-ROD is on the Yankees, presume it won't be them. I don't see any NL team being a serious threat unless, as the Cardinals did last year, they catch some breaks. (Their biggest break? Playing the Mets for the Pennant!) Go Jays go? The only place the Jays are going is to the golf course.

the Jays are only going to improve this year. With the addition of Frank Thomas, if they can get their pitchers to not suck (Doc, the exception) they for sure have a shot.

The Red Sox. They have the best line up the best rotation the bullpen is ok but now that Pap will be closing again, they will not be touched. I predict they will win at least 100 games.

If Detroit pitchers take defense seriously then they will be hard to beat. They have grerat pitching and good mix of veterens and younger players and Jim Leyland.

You guys keep forgetting who won last year. The supposedly best team doesn't always win. It's not how much money you spend, it's how you play when it counts. Go Cards!!!!!!!!
