White Sox aren't that overrated.

Indians aren't overrated either. But baseball analysists are not smart this year with them. They think the Indians will be good!

Anyway the Yankees are!

Look at their payroll, their lineup, their GM, their 3B, etc.

OVERRATED!

It's between the White Soxs and the A's. The A's have lost every single star pitcher they made. Bobby Crosby is a fluke and they lost Frank Thomas. With all these major losses they still have questionable to win the AL West. White Soxs can't win. 2006 was a bad year for them, the Twins and Tigers finished on top and they Indians will top the White Sox this year. Ever since'05 it hasn't been the same. To much has gone to their head and a wake up call won't work now.

I hate to say this,, but it could be the Mets.
Hasbeens and wantabes at the SP, Old man Franco, Alou, and getting old fast Green in the outfield. Lastings might be overrated(not traded to Houston for Oswalt during trade deadline last yr), Old 2nd baseman, and a good #2 hitter in Paul LoDuca but not very producted as a hitting catcher. He is close to that age for catchers

Jose Reyes will be great as will be David Wright. Delgado average was low and Beltran hits great, but watching 3rd strike over the plate w/ bases loaded, 2out, and full count may screw up his head.

Oliver Perez ERA has went up each of his 3 seasons, Glavine just wants 300 wins, Pedro is out till August, Maine has some potenial, and Pelfrey is a young rookie.

Phillies should win the division and battle for wild card could be, Cards, Cubs,Dodgers, Pads and maybe Braves w/ some luck.

Obviously the Red Sox. They win one world series, in 86**** years and people think they are the greatest team in the MLB. Let me just say they are far from that title. The New York Yankees have won over 20 World Series and are the most popular proffessional sports team in the world, so don't tell me the Yankees are over-rated. Their players are incredible and their past and current standing EASILY defeats anything the Red Sox have ever tried to compare to!

I would say it is the Windy City. AL's most overrated team is the White Soxes . Their is no improvement from last years them that just fell away. NL's Cubs are overrated. They spent lots of money but thats all. Their pitching is questionable . Then their Manager Lou is the most overrated in baseball.

Someone explain to me how the Yankees are overrated? Their hitting is the best in baseball, proof of that is when you have a .340 hitter batting 8th. Their pitching may not be that great but it is still better than Bostons and they have so much depth in the minors.
Boston is pretty overrated. They have a two headed monster in Ortiz and Ramirez, but what else? JD Drew is suspect to injury and in my opinion Willy Mo Pena is better then him. Everyone in Boston think Matsuzaka is their Messiah or something but, i gotta tell you guys, its still spring training and he's yet to face the Yankees. When he shuts down New York then ill believe he's the real deal. Fact is the guys never won 20 in Japan so what makes all you think he is in the MLB, where the best talent is?
Oh and everyone who says look at the yankees payroll, i believe Boston is 2nd and they can't even make a wild card and Id rather get knocked out of the playoffs then not even be there.
So everyone lets just let the season unfold and we will see who is sitting at home in october.

No...you're kidding, right? As much as I detest the White Sox (as a Tigers fan), I gotta say Boston or New York (the Yanks). Yeah, each have history, but when it comes down to it, they're simply the result of large piggybanks.

Hell, with the kind of money Steinbrenner spends, a chimp could be the GM and still win a World Series every once in a while...

In my view, the most overrated teams in baseball this season are the Cubs (all that spending, but the season hasn't started yet), Red Sox (the mystery of the Gyroball and all that... and I have to admit that I'm guilty of overrating them, because I can't underrate a team I've predicted will win the '07 World Series), and Yankees (with their lineup, they should've at least made it to last season's World Series, but they choked in the ALDS against Detroit).

Of those teams, the only one whose hype I'm buying is Boston's, as I'm once again predicting them to win the '07 World Series (as I seem to do every time Boston is mentioned in one of my baseball answers).

I don't think the Yankees are overrated since they make the playoffs every year.

The most overrated team i'd say are the Cubs and Boston.

Underrated would be the Minnesota Twins. Even though there pitching lineup is a wait and see thing, they always find a way to win.
