I don't know much about Walter Camp but I'd like to throw Tom Landry's name into this discussion. He was the father of the 4-3 defense.

I'd have to say Bill Parcells.

Besides the fact that he revamped a horrible New York Giants team into 2 Super Bowl Champion teams, he brought the Jets and Patriots to playoff status.
Not only that, he has created a lineage of successful coaches like Bill Billichick and Eric Mangini.

For a coach to have an influence on players, a franchise AND other coaches, THATS a major contributor as an all around top coach of all time.

Excellent question.

Easily Vince Lombardi! He's the greatest coach of all time, and thats not a matter of opinion. IT'S A FACT.

The Superbowl Trophy is named after him

AND (Here's an interesting fact for all you Lombardi Haters out there)

Throughout his coaching carrer (Highschool, College, and Pro) He's NEVER had a loosing season.

VINCE LOMBARDI IS WHAT MODERN DAY COACHES STRIDE TO BE LIKE!
