Me personally if that is something that I had to admit to in an interview, just depending on the job, I would definitely say "If I had a weakness, it would have to be the fact that I sometimes become a little too eager to learn a job. It's kind of hard for me to just sit on my hands because I am the type of person that likes to take the initiative." Confidence in yourself is always something that a potential employer loves in a possible employee! BE CONFIDENT in whatever you say.

Employers are looking for 2 things when they ask this question. First, can you self-analyze? I've had respondents tell me "I have no weaknesses" or "I can't think of any weaknesses". Being able to self-analyze is important as it shows you know which areas need improvement.
Secondly, their looking closely at your specific answer. If you are interviewing for an admin position and you tell them organization is your weakness, then they're more than likely not going to be interested.
The trick here is to turn it around on the interviewer where as you present what some might think as a strength as one of your weaknesses. For instance, you could say that you are highly competitive or that you are a perfectionist.
If you decide to identify a specific weakness, make sure you explain that you are taking steps to improve yourself and site specific examples.

I'd say be honest, but don't elaborate any more than what you have to. Try your best to move onto the next subject without giving the impression that you are hiding something. The more time you can take to sell yourself in a positive light, the more effective you can be in your interview.

Huh? Weakness? (pause, think) I have never thought about that before. I never considered limiting myself or that I could not do something. I have always believed in myself and my abilities.
(if they continue to press about it) Well, quite frankly, I dont think I have any real weaknesses. If I did, they are just areas that I can improve on, and I consider those to be future strengths.
(if they continue to press) I am sorry, but this position does not appear to be for me. You are apparently looking for someone who lacks the ability to overcome obstacles or be innovative, and that is not me. I wish you the best of luck finding whom you are looking for. Take care. (and walk out)

you gotta make it sound positive like "well, sometimes I work too hard and it doesn't leave much time for a personal life" or for me, since I work in the healthcare field, JI could say in all honesty, my weakness is people. I love to help people and I work really hard to meet their needs and give them the care that I would expect to be given to me if the roles were reversed.
