Why file sexual harrasment if anyone won't listen?

Question

I read in the gainsville sun where 5 women filed sexual harrasment on the florida department of corrections and lost due to not providing enough information and waiting too long to file said paperwork.
Where is the justice for these women, it happens daily, i work in the same system and know their pain, however I from personal experience have never filed due to retaliation being so heavily presented and with kids to feed I could never afford to lose my job.

So what can these women do, this department has a 365 day period to file said paperwork.

Seems like I struck a nerve with michael, must have had some harrasment issues of his own, please overlook his selfish comment, I am a very attractive woman who knows what sexual harrasment is first hand, but have yet to "abuse" it as I have never filed on dormant toads as michael, who if I were such the person I could probably take his comment and flush it, after, that is, I used it properly.

And to lil big ennis's comment, I think it happened to one and was overlooked, but a pattern kept happening and as word spread the first woman talked to a couple of the other girls and seen that there indeed was a pattern and they decided at that point to nip it in the bud.
I for one hate what sexual harrasment has become, because it has been taken a little out of context, but it needs to be there for people who abuse their authority, which was the case in this situation, and think that because they supervise someone they can make them do things and they can say things to them that are just plain wrong.
Anyways, thanks for your input, I think sexual harrasment needs to be utilized when an individual needs it, and if it takes a couple months for that person to work up the nerve well so be it(usually people who harrass prey on the meek, shy, under-opinionated, quiet type because they know they won't go anywhere with it).

There in lies your problem. If it is truely harassment, then report it ASAP. Don't wait to talk it over with girl friends or family or other friends or coworkers first. Go straight to the authorities. I represented two women, the story they told was down right aweful. Five months and Thousands of $$$$$$ later, the entire case fell apart because the women waited too long to report. I believe they had a valid case, but they waited, chit chatted amoung themselves, altered the truth a bit because some Womens advocate told them it would work.....

Sex harassment is getting incredible difficult to successful file.

Mainly because there's so many frivolous sexual harassment lawsuit going around.

So now people tend to really question the case.
