You can give a daily bath as soon as the umbilical cord had fallen off and *completely* healed.
*However*, soaps, even baby soaps, can be harsh on sensitive baby skin, so if your baby seems to NEED lotion after every bath due to dryness or patchy areas, you may want to consider skipping the soap every other bath.
Personally, I gave a nightly bath to my babies mainly for the benefit of routine and that the warm water is a great way to calm them down for bedtime. But I only occasionally used soaps (maybe once weekly, to be honest). Instead, I added a drop or two of lavender essential oil and tea tree oil to the bathwater-- lavender for its calming, soothing scent and tea tree oil for its skin health benefits. I tend to use an all-natural approach to my babies' care, and avoid artificial and synthetic ingredients, too many chemicals, etc.
My favorite baby care products were Burt's Bees "Baby Bee" products.

The doctor in the nursery told me only wash his face with water and sponge bath him until his belly button ick falls off and his circ was healed. After about a month of this I asked the pediatrician about why he had almost like little pimples on his cheeks, and she recommended washing his face with soap and water everyday in his bath. I was like "Whoa, everyday?" She looked even more perplexed. I did and the pimples went away, his bath right before his bedtime became a routine (mostly to tire him out a little to put him to bed around 11 so maybe I could sleep for 3 or 4 hours lol) and it worked to get him to sleep thru the night. Make sure you invest in mild soap and heavy body cream, oil, or whater is better yet milder than lotion. His skin wont dry out that way, and let his diaper area air dry before putting the diaper on. Once they sleep thru the night as a routine, I started just giving him a bath every other day, or whenever it was called for. But as a relaxation technique, it workes better on some babies than others. Hope this helped.

You can give her a bath every day once she comes home from the hospital. It is good to put some baby lotion on her whole body after each bath to keep her skin soft and hydrated.Aveeno baby products are good and you can also use baby oil gel.
Maybe I had all my children at a different hospital,I still bathed all of them every day I was just told to be careful with the cord that it did not get really wet.

Giving your infant Tylenol won't impression his liver! you're speaking approximately small doses and not each and all the time. I additionally do no longer choose to take pills until it particularly is needed, yet for babies it particularly is distinctive by using fact they're very fragile and want exceptional care. If the Tylenol facilitates to assuage him, pls circulate forward and supply it. they might experience terrible while teething and if the fever gets too extreme for some reason, then it must be particularly risky. I relatively have a 10 month previous and thankfully she would not get fevers while teething so a techniques, yet I nonetheless provide her the tylenol (while she seems cranky) for discomfort plus it facilitates them sleep. placed orajel on his gums; even in spite of the incontrovertible fact which you suspect it would not help, i'm particular it it kills the discomfort fairly. sturdy success and remember that youngsters ought to take drugs while it particularly is mandatory... we will not %. and choose like we'd do with ourselves as adults.

She can do it right now. As soon as my sons cord fell off we gave him a bath everynight. It helped him relax and sleep better. Also he has alot of hair and it gets oily very easily. Now he knows that is part of bedtime. He gets the bath a bottle then off to bed. She would probably really enjoy it and you can have fun and bond with her. I also recommend using Johnson and Johnson bedtime bath products, they are suppost to help baby relax and sleep through the night. I wish you the best of luck!!

As long as the umbilical cord is off and you stay within an arms length it's safe. The reason it's not recommended is because it can dry the skin out, but as long as you rinse thoroughly and use some lotion it's fine. My daughter is one now and I've been bathing her every night since she was around 3 months old, it's a great nightly ritual, she knows when it is bath time, she goes in there herself to remind me, it's adorable. Good luck, congrats on your new edition!

My baby is 3 months and I've been giving him nightly baths because he gets cranky. I've been bathing him nightly since about 10 weeks. I'm not sure why it would be unsafe.

You never need to give an infant a bath every day unless they totally soil themselves every day. In fact, they recommend that you only bathe your baby a couple of times a week. If it's something your baby really enjoys and you want to make it a part of her routine I would wait until she's older and I wouldn't do it in the colder months because her skin will be more likely to get dry. Ask your pediatrician for suggestions, but you really do not need to bathe her every day.

I've heard that every day might be too much for a young baby because it can dry out their skin. Also, that you may be washing off bacteria that they need to start their immune system.
I've only heard this, and I don't know how true it is, but ask your doc what would be best for your baby.
