For the west coast, T-mobile was great for me- best packages and service. But here in the south - Cingular seems to be the only choice. But they do drop calls also.

I use Verizon and I have been pretty happy with it. I have a lot of friends who use it and are happy. I have to admit that I may switch to Cingular as I want to get the new iPhone and it only works with Cingular. Cingular is what was once AT&T, and I've heard some good things about that. To be honest, I haven't heard anything good about Sprint, so I do advise you to switch. I think you should check out both Verizon and Cingular and see which one will give you a better deal. You have to think about how much you use your phone, are you one of those people who uses the phone a lot, or just keeps it as a back up. That will tell you whether you need more minutes or not. Do you need a fancy phone, a Razr or can you live with a simpler phone. Do you want a phone that has games and music, or just a plan phone. You need to know the area that is covered by the specific provider, does it cover areas that you travel to. Where are the roaming areas, what are the roaming charges. These are all the questions you need to ask, and then if you like one of the services better, but they charge more, see if the one you like will match the prices of the cheaper one. There is so much competition out there you can sometimes get deals.

Look at the coverage areas that are the most important to you before deciding. I was with a company because they were supposed to be great but when I went to my mom's house in the middle of nowhere I had no service. Only two company's got service there and that is how I chose mine. But I have Cingular and they are really good. Haven't had any problems. Plus they have the Rollover minutes, comes in handy when I have months where I talk more than usual.

I have T-mobile and it works for me, my friend have Verizon and it works too, my mom had Cingular and it worked also. But either Sprint or any other companies sucks. Though t-mobile I have heard it's good internationally and Cingular it's good nationally, and Verizon is the only company my friend gets in to. hope it helps.

I got Sprint Nextel and its ok.... depends on where your mostly at.... i know for a fact that at&t with cingular is a good service.... but it mostly depends on where you plan on using it... and how many people have that service.... Most of my family have sprint so we talk to each other for free... and we travel alot so the national coverage area helps....

Cannot help. I don't have a cell phone, don't want one, and will only have one if it becomes federal law. With the current design of cell phones, you can be tracked wherever you go. Same with GPS directional in a car. If it becomes the law of the land I will comply but will curtail my traveling and phone use.
