I have to pick a topic for a pursuasive paper. I dont like any from the list they gave me but I'm not sure what would be good for a PURSUASIVE paper. I want something interesting, but I'm 19 and female....so just by that what are some ideas that I could submit for approval?

You could persuade people of the importance of spelling and numerical accuracy. Like speak about the scientist in Russia who miscalculated, by a tiny fraction, the launch of a rocket. It misfired and blew up. I think the scientist was sent to Siberia or executed.

Mistakes in translation have started wars. Of course, sore losers in chess matches have as well.

Anyway, use the spell check, and you'll spell persuasive right the next time.

You'll be a lot more persuasive if you learn how to spell it correctly.
Basically you're trying to convince someone to agree with your point of view, and you need to be able to back up your point with lots of good, logical arguments. Pick any topic that you feel strongly about - animal rights, abortion, immigration, censorship, racism, whatever really ticks you off. It doesn't matter which side you pick, because there are good arguments on both sides of almost every topic. Then pick your exact position on that topic - for example, you think there ought to be stricter laws against dog fighting. Then present arguments for WHY you feel that way - what are the legal, economic, psychological effects of this happening or not happening? Be sure to address the main arguments of the other side.
