I am sorry, there is a spelling mistake in your question. Borrow in this case is spelled "LEECH". It can also be spelled "STEAL". Note, if the neighbour is computer savvy, you won't get in to his network, and he will be able to detect your attempt, and probably be able to get into your computer as well.
You should read what happened in Singapore, and also in Florida. It can happen anywhere.

a wireless antenna is used to boost the signal of a wireless access point, or a wireless router.

if you want to "borrow" internet from a neighbor with wireless then your PC needs to have a wireless adapter.

however "borrowing wireless" is only legitimate if the neighbor is aware...so dont get caught since it seems you yourself are a little on the green side when it comes to this network thing..

A wireless antennae is just what it sounds like.
A piece of aluminum that magically suspends in the air with no wires. It's magic.

I think you should take an ethics class.
It may be cheaper than than the 25 bucks a month for DSL.

I turned on my laptop wireless and parked next to some apartments. Found a good strong signal and surfed for a couple of hours while I waited for my wife's hair appt.

The word is steal not "borrow" and I sincerely hope your neighbor catches you and bashes your head in :-)

HA, borrow. Anyways, get yourself a wireless access point and set it up to receive their signal. (Read Manual with access point).
