The pros of gay adoption are really no different than the pros of adoption in general. If a child can be removed from foster care or a group home and place with a loving stable couple or person, that in itself is the ultimate benefit of adoption. The sexual orientation of the adopting parent(s) doesn't matter at all. If the child is a teenager or a special needs child that would have little chance of getting adopted and a loving stable couple, gay or straight, adopts him or her, thats even better.

There is probably not pro or con to gay adoptions. The question is will an individual whether they are straight or gay make a good parent. Sexuality is not the issue. The issue is the quaility of life the invidual will give a child.

If a child was given up for adoption, he/she did not have a good loving home. If there is a gay couple who is willing to adopt the child, give them a good home, loving parents, and strong morals, what is wrong with it?

I can't honestly say that pros and gay can be synonymous. I don't hate gay people, but I think their chosen lifestyle is immoral. Thus, I couldn't support that in anyway. I wouldn't want my child to grow up in that kind of environment, but I would say it's better than having them grow up in an abusive household or one that would have them molested. There's two for you.

I don't think that an orphanage is better for a child than a loving couple of adoptive parents.

My best friend is gay, and if him and his partner wanted to adopt a child i would totally support it. It shouldn't matter who you love, love is love. It shouldn't matter if its a guy and a girl, 2 girls, or 2 guys. everyone should have the same rights. It shouldn't matter as long as you can give the child a loving home and support them then you should be able to adopt. no matter what the situation is. even if your single as long as you can support them and give them the home they need then thats all that matters.
