You can put as many things on there as you like or need. It gives people options on what to get the baby with a varying price range.
Whatever you don't get, then you can easily remember what else you need to buy.
I have a lot on my registry and it is not done yet. But I also buy off of my own registry.

Mine has about 70 and I'm sure we won't get all that stuff, but you do want to give people some choices about what to buy you. We only have about 5-6 items that are over $50. The rest are cheaper than $50. Be sure to register for everything you really need first. Car seat, diaper genie, bottles, stroller, items for the nursery (such as a comforter set & mobile), etc. However, make sure you also register for toys, books, a baby gym, etc. If I were you I'd register for everything you think you need, then things you want and see where you are at. Also, most places have websites you can visit to make adjustments to your registry. Good luck.

I have two baby registries, and there's about 140 items between the two. The idea is to register for things you need and if you're having your first, like me, you will end up seeing MANY things you need, ESPECIALLY clothes. Any baby shower you have after this, you most likely won't have as much.
I've always found it to be a better plan if you register for more than you know you'll get, so the folks buying the items for you have a more broad range of how little they can spend if they're on a budget.

I had two registries and they both had around 30 items. I guess though there isn't any designated amount, but 150 seems like a lot. I think you are probably more on track with 50 items, also keep in mind that people won't always go off of the registry anyways.
Have fun with it though. I loved picking stuff out.

As many as you need. My registry ended up being 8 pages long, while a friend of mine had a registry that was about half that size. Try to make sure you have the basics for baby (bottles if you're bottle-feeding, breast milk storage bags/breast pump system if breastfeeding, diapers, wipes, pacifiers, aspirator, etc.). Wherever you register, you will usually be given a list of things typically seen as a necessity for firt-time parents. Don't forget to include a few things for yourself, as well! If you are breastfeeding, you'll need Lansinoh. And who would really refuse to buy you a few things to help you relax after baby is here? Happy shopping!

You should add enough items to give the people invited a choice in what to get you. There should be enough so that you don't get a lot of repeats also. Some people like to buy morer than on gift. Try to give people a 2 or 3 gift per person ratio. If you don't need as much, just put things that you need or would really like to have. You can always take the items back to get what you want. I have found that people like to get you what they want to anyway.

mine has about 85 items but then again i have a HUGE family with roughly 90 or so people invited so i guess it all depends on the size of the baby shower.

Put as many thingas as you like on there! Remember that there is no limit to what you can put and that way people have more things to chose from. After the shower get whatever else you still need on your own.
Congrats and Good Luck! ;-)
