Well now that the GREAT LOSER, Schottenheimer is gone, they are already halfway there!
In fact without Marty around to screw things up, a MONKEY could probably get this team into the SB!

The Chargers need more of a threat at WR. Phillip Rivers may be a pretty good young QB, but I don't think their current batch of wide-outs is going to help change the scouting report against the Chargers.
Key in on stopping LT and make the recieveing game prove that it can beat you. That to me was the Ravens game plan against the Chargers this past season, they executed it and beat the Chargers.

Quit reading the headlines, until you make it to the Superbowl the team is just a playoff hopeful like the rest. On paper champs does not mean a thing.

I think they have the team in place to make it to a Super Bowl now. They may have taken a step back with the coaching change yet its still Marty's team. They are just as good (in my opinion) as the team that won the Super Bowl this year. All they need is a little luck to go with all that skill in San Diego.

I think this next year will be it. The Chargers needed one more year for Phillip Rivers to get a feel for the starting QB job, and I think last year ending the way it did will really push them to work harder this year. They were the better team last year, and they will be even better this year.

a good coach. a playmaking wide reciever to take the pressure off LT b/c he wont hav the season he did last year. he will do great, but hes not breakign thirty touchdowns again. and lastly a consistent more mature philip rivers. im pretty sure he will paly better this year, unless the probowl went to his head

They need a decent WR. Gates cannot do this alone, and McCardel is way to old. LT will have a good year unless he gets put on the Madden 08 cover and most of all they need MARTY SCHOTTENHEIMER.

A coach who won't get conservative in the playoffs like Schottenheimer did year in and year out.
