Being in the Military I'd be fighting of course. However, you don't just mobilize a force overnight and invade a country. Your question is irrelevant, it's a logistical impossibility.

Not a serious question is it? The UN could not invade anything. They would be stopped by a voting member of the Security Council, US, GB, France, Russia, China, you get the picture. Plus where would the troops come from, why China? Obvious flaws in our government? You really need to do some research before your next question. This is almost illiterate of you to ask such a thing. The UN is nothing, has done nothing. But to know that you would need to read.
Took us out. With what? We have the defense.
I will stop. You do not want to hear this. You have some really weird questions here.

You don't even know the meaning of the terms you are using. Typical Liberal. Always the dilettante. Gets his "knowledge" the fast, easy, and erroneous way.

An insurgent fights the LEGITIMATELY ELECTED government of a country. The thugs fighting the democratically elected government of Iraq are Islama-fascists who, refusing to accept the majority will, are trying to topple the government.

We did not "set up" the government in Iraq. The Iraqis themselves drafted their own constitution, nominated and elected their own leaders. In your scenario, a foreign power imposes the government. That is not the case in Iraq.

In your scenario, the U.S. citizens are freedom fighters (patriots) because they are trying to restore the legitimate government. Saddam was a dictator for life tyrant; he was not a legitimate ruler.

In the real life Iraqi scenario, the terrorists became insurgents the moment they stopped fighting the coalition forces and started trying to topple their own government, a government designed, created and ratified by the people of Iraq.

So, as anyone can plainly see, your analogy is as flawed as a Michael Moore movie is with facts.

uh, were invaded Iraq under UN Mandate- giving them ample time. have you done any research at all of who the insurgents are? you need to look at the facts of who al qaeda is, who the fedayeen are, and the many other small militias. You try too hard to see the world through what you have experieneced in this culture instead of learning how very different their culture is. Some people call that a form of ethnocentrism.

I really like your hypothetical question but I fear that your point may have escaped some. Countries invading other countries isn't anything new and no matter what moral barometer and what just cause the invaders claim, the real reason is always the most primal: the acquisition of power and wealth.

Nancy Pelosi would tell us to give them what they wanted. We would not be allowed to fight back and then the democrats would blame the republicans.

What do you think the Muslims are doing right now? Now they are trying to push through bill to hurry the ability for Iraquis to immigrate to America. I wonder how many militants will be in that mob?

Give up, live life and do the best you can. We are doomed just as the Romans were after accepting the Greeks as their teachers.

OK this is CRAZY POL-FICTION

Have you ever been to China ? Compared to them, the US is a bunch of socialists ! I mean, their capitalism is much wilder, the rich are richer, the poor poorer and they don´t have any interest in invading the US. Most members of their communist party just seek personal profit, power and influence... (not to mention corruption) and they need YOU to buy their goods and continue to create new millionaires over there.

i'm not the biggest fan of bush but i would oppose a foreign nation coming over and ousting him. i guess like the folks in Iraq are doing. On US media they are called insurgents and we are told the ones on our side are the good guys and the insurgents are bad. if china did come here and the majority of us revolted what do you think they would call those of us who do. you can't believe what you here or read, do your own research. good question
