Hey everyone-
I'm currently writing a research paper about whether the media promotes teen sexuality or not... I've found about a trillion sources that say yes, but I can't seem to find any that think otherwise... Does anyone know of any websites that say the media does NOT promote teen sexuality? There has to be at least one out there, right?
Thanks!

There's no such position on the Liberal vs Conservative spectrum of opinion, it's a given that the media attempts to promot teen sexuality as a means of shaping their habits as consumers. You have to tailor your paper to a position where you can address the question from a slightly different perspective, perhaps by re-fashioning the question so that it becomes a debate on whether or not the media promotes a healthy and realistic attitude towards sexuality, I would think.

Sorry, can't help you. Even the media knows that they promote way too much sexuality in general. They wont deny it. They just tell parents to watch their kids and change the channel when something is inapproptiate.

i don't think of the media promotes teen being pregnant, i think of society sexualises babies lots till now than customary (slightly there bikinis for babies and young ones, revealing clothing, make up, elegance pagents for babies with image shoots off them finding like adults, etc) and the implications of this are babies having intercourse lots till now devoid of the preparation to guard themselves against undesirable being pregnant and STD's. specific, there are courses available approximately teenage being pregnant, besides the shown fact that it not often glamorizes it. I do get excitement from observing sixteen and pregnant, yet I even have yet to make certain a narrative that went with out a hitch - a pair who gave up their infant for adoption, yet another the place the boyfriend spent $80 on a pair of boots for himself whilst the GF had no funds to purchase a stroller for their infant, yet another woman kicked out of school because of the fact she overlooked too lots time because of the fact of morning ailment. None of those are circumstances i could in my opinion think of "yeah, this truly needs me to pass and get knocked up!" i think of that the venture lies with how society sees our babies, not in how television portrays teen being pregnant
