Or Bush, for creating the problem and the consequences? it just seems funny to me that everyone is saying 'if we leave now it will get worse', with no real answer for how it gets better?

Matt, the question is 'who's fault would that be?' Like Vietnam, we shouldn't have gone.

People who were against it are under no obligation to have a solution.
That's as absurd as getting mad at the hippies, many of whom were against going to the moon, because they thought the money should be given to the poor, for not having an easier, cheaper, simpler solution for saving the Apollo 13 astronauts!
Problems can only be solved on a higher level than the one on which they were created. (Albert Einstein.)
The Village Idiot can't get us out, so he blames the Dems for not having a solution!
Dubya's damn lucky that natural selection hasn't culled him from the litter years ago!

No, right now I see the situation as being in Bush's court. He can agree to withdrawal time line and take the funding, or reject the withdrawal time line and do without his funding. The Congress has not cut funding for troops currently in Iraq with this bill. It is for future operations, that cannot be carried out without the money. If those operations cannot be carried out the troops will have to come home. They will not be placed in more danger, as some people seem determined to believe. They will be on their way home and the Iraqis will still be murdering each other in their civil war - but without our assistance. The time line is not an outrageous one, being a year and a half away. I think a lot of people are wondering just how long Bush intends to continue this chaos if he cannot deal with having to end it in a year and a half's time. It's clear that either way, the next President is going to be left with an ungodly mess to clean up.
You are right that remaining there does not guarantee anything about this situation will get better. Some people seem content to let the status quo, chaos though it might be, continue without a foreseeable end. Bush needs to take a good look at Hillary's plan - it could save his legacy and move the real War on Terror forward. But that's a silly thing to suggest, he won't listen to anyone that doesn't echo his own thoughts.

Yes I would blame the Dems for the results of pulling out. We are already there. It doesn't matter now why. Pulling out would have consequences. For one, Iran would do it's best to influence Iraq's future. And we all know that Iraq is far from a good neighbor to the rest of the Middle East. Iraq would become a haven for terrorists the same way Afghanistan did in the late 80's and 90's. Anyone denying this is a fool. Leave before the job gets done, and we will just have to go back again in several years to really finish the job. This time with a lot heavier casualties.
In the word of General Colin Powell, "If you break it, you own it." Well we own it and what happens to it now. For better or worse.

They have no real answer as to how it gets worse either. They claim that if we leave Iraq, all the terrorists will come to the U.S.
Well, I hate to be the one to break this to them, but Iraq is NOT the center of all terrorist activity in the world. If terrorists were ready to attack us right now, they would.
To say that if we leave Iraq, the terrorists will come here implies that we invaded Iraq in response to a terrorist attack. And the Bush administration assures us that we did not.

The Democrats ... they speak about supporting the troops, but try to cut funding to them while they are over there. Furthermore, the Dems are not entirely supporting their own views when it takes Pelosi to load up the most recent bill with enough pork to keep the entire Islamic nation out of heaven to get the bill passed.
Also add to that the highly-liberal and dem-supported media outlets that only reflect the negatives that have happened. I have talked to quite a few returning soldiers and they are pretty much shocked at how the media has (in their words): "Betrayed them."
It also doesn't help when Bush had to have so many restrictions set upon the soldiers that were initially placed in the war provisions bill by the Democrats (forgot about that as well, didn't we?). Besides, the war would not have commenced if Congress (who also had their own intelligence to fall back on and not just the president's) had simply not voted for the war.
The Democrats have known more than they wish to share with the public, but then again ... it seems to be okay to tarnish a Republican president but not a Democrat president over the last few decades.

It has been getting better. Things have been getting better over there ever since we went into Iraq. You just don't know about them because the media doesn't report them. That would make Bush look good and the liberals certainly dont want that! If we leave now, chances are that it could very likely get worse. The terrorists would see that as a defeat and it would only encourage their antics.

Hell no. I would blame it on the fact that our President can find no more ways to put us in Debt. the average new born already owes 30 grand. If he could triple that he would be slapping that EASY botton.

It is Bush's fault for getting us into this mess based on poor intel. The DNC is only doing the majority's will by trying to get us out of Iraq.

well if we worked together then maybe just maybe something could have happened but at this point in time leaving WILL MAKE THE SITUATION FAR WORSE. and yes I will blame the democrates, as they said the same damn thing before bush came into office, then when a president actually wanted to do something about it, they cut and ran.

When we pulled out of Vietnam millions were slaughtered in Southeast Asia. It was only after a few years we found out about all the killing. (See The Killing Fields) You ask this question to Jane Fonda and she'll just give you a dumb look. There will be severe consequences if we pull out now.
