emailed an old childhood friend just to say hi and in the first email he signs off with love, hugs, kisses, calls be babe, hey beautiful, have not spoken to this person for a very long time. says he thought of me often, had dreams about me and him, he had a huge crush on me. etc...even used the love word. but then says we can't let our emotions get to us..I am not the one with the emotions. He just got out of a divorce and remarrying someone he claims she is not the love of his life.

He is on the rebound so be careful and be sure to let him know that you do not feel the same for him that he does to you. You can be friends with him BUT that is only as far as i would take it if i were you. You hardly even know this person after all these years and you will have to get to know him all over again. If he is hitting on you already then he definitley is not ready for marriage again as he is already being unfaithful to his new fiance. He kinda sounds like a jerk to me to be honest with you and like he is a womanizer.

Because he's a jerk who doesn't know who he is or what he wants. He's playing with your emotions to get a rise out of you for his own insecure pleasure. He's confused about the girl he's going to marry and says she is not the love of his life after he just got divorced to boot? ugh.

RUN..................don't walk..........away from this jerk.

So you just E mailed an old friend (are you married? or looking?). He thinks you are looking and he is looking to have a fling before he gets married again (or maybe continue after he gets married). My advice is to stay away from him.

He's a liar and a cheat and I feel sorry for the woman he's going to marry. Steer clear.

Maybe he is trying to make himself feel better! Write him back and say I wasn't looking for anything from you other then to say hello and I hope you are doing well...good luck to you in your upcoming marriage.

words are a dime a dozen- remember they are just words and to taken with a grain of salt. I think you are reading to much into what he is saying.
