J.J. Redick and Adam Morrison were these great college phenoms much like Laettner, then came to the pros and haven't really shined yet. Who will eventually become a role player due to whatever reason (skills underdeveloped, bad teams, playing out of true position)?

With all respect to B-nut, I know the NBA is made up of great college players that don't become all-stars. I'm referring to the few ultra-hyped players that come in each year touted as the "next Bird, Jordan or Pistol Pete" that don't live up to the hype.

Josh McRoberts and probably Noah a lot of hype in college but just average players in the NBA at best.

As for B-Nut steve kerr was putting up 20 with ease as a cav? LMAO he peaked at 6 points a game with them and his career high is 8 with the bulls. He's been a role playing specialist his entire career and nothing more.

I say JJ Reddick, he will be the next Christian Laettner, he was hyped throughout his career at Duke, and I think in the NBA he will be no more then a 3 point specialist with a great free throw percentage and soso defense, like a Steve Kerr, he will be that type of role player. But for a big guy to be Lattneresque, I see Josh McRoberts from Duke and maybe even Tyler Hansborough to a lesser degree.

You guys know nothing about basketball. **** the NBA is full of Christian Laettner's, or great college players that have done nothing in the NBA. As for the guy who made the comment about Steve Kerr being a role player, you must be under the age of 25 yrs of age. When Steve first landed with the Clevland Cavaliers he knocked down 20 a game with ease. Playing next to Mark Price and Craig Ehlo(2 other white guys) in a 3 guard offense! It wasnt until he went to the Spurs that he became a role player. he already had 3 titles with the Bulls playing with Ole Michael Jordy you idiot. That ship he won with the Spurs was a going away present

Adam Morrison is doing okay. better than what laetner did. JJ Redick is dealing with injuries and team full of guards. He needs to stay healthy, magic should relase few guards and run screen plays like pistons does for rip hamilton

Hansborough or Josh McRoberts. All ACC big men have always been soft with the exception of Elton Brand and Tim Duncan.
