I was looking through my Local Settings in the Temp folder and browsed in the Temporary Internet File when I found hundreds of pictures (some of which I'd never seen seen before) in a few (so far) of the folders. I put most of them in the recycling bin but haven't deleted all of them just in case they're supposed to be there. I was just wondering if it was safe to get rid of them. Can anyone help?

ALL Temporary Internet Files are safe to delete. Hence the word temporary (meaning they were only meant to be there for a while). Most of those pictures come from sites that you visit (like ads and things) that your computer stores in order to produce the webpage more quickly when you visit (as opposed to downloading each picture every time you visit).

Yes, they're junk. Easy way to do this is to go to the Control Panel => Internet Options => and under the General tab click on Delete Files. Might as well Delete cookies while you're there also.

Yes, they're safe to delete. But next time don't move them to the recycling bin.

Did any pictures look like icons and buttons. I would doubt that you want to delete it if they look like icons. But if they're just pictures, you could delete them I think.
