i own a 18 inch 25gram 06 born corn snake. a rule of thumb is that you can feed a food item 1 to 1.5 times the biggest girth of the snake. put the pinky or fuzzie beside the snake. if it is the the same size or slightly larger , it will fit.

mine eats fuzzies already.

it depends on the size of your snake not the age. The food should be big enough so yu are only feeding one or two at a time how many pinkies does he eat 2 or 3? then its probebly okay to start with small fuzzys. snakes mouths can open quite wide i would say no food bigger than 2x's the snakes head as a general rule or thumb give or take a bit.

If your snake is eating the pinkies in less than 5 minutes move up to fuzzys.

You have to see the fattest section of your snake if it's as wide as the fuzzie or bigger then it's ok.
