The only thing I can suggest is to talk about what you're going to do before you do it and be very honest about it all. She needs to know your limits and you need to know hers. You can have a lot of fun with this stuff, but that doesn't mean it isn't serious and can't be dangerous if entered into carelessly. And don't worry that talking too much about it will ruin the spontaneity, it won't. A few other good ideas are:
1. Have a safe word that you both know and if you're uncomfortable with something, say it, don't be afraid, that's why it's there.
2. Make sure someone you know and trust knows where you are, even if you don't give them all the details about what you'll be doing. You can never be too careful.

know what you want to gain from the servitude.

if you're going expecting certain acts, that is topping from the bottom...

ask why you want to, and what you expect to gain... it will make your initial experience better..

if you're just looking for SM play, then be upfront... a true Domme won't be into that (most likely).
