I left mine in for my entire pregnancy and delivery with my first. I took it out for delivery with the second because of a possible C-section and hospital policy. If you are really concerned ask your Dr for his opinion

A lot of women wear their navel rings throughout delivery. My cousin did this and had no problems. I took mine out when I was four months pregnant because I just didn't like the way that it looked - (plus my husband hated it anyway). There aren't any health issues associated with having a navel ring during pregnancy that I know of - it's just up to you.

You shouldn't need to remove it although you might want to consider seeing a professional piercer and changing it to a flexible bar (a PTFE bar). Your ring will be tight as your skin stretches, which will irritate the piercing and cause it to heal out due to the pressure. The soft flexible bar will prevent this from happening. How long you have had your piercing and how big your belly gets also has an effect. As a guideline, if the area around your piercing changes color and is a darker red than normal, change it to a flexible bar. It is not painful to change it.

I took mine out at 10 wks because I was bloated and it was starting to get tight and uncomfortable. My doctor said that if it is left in, it will cause a huge stretch mark across your stomach. If you're not really showing yet, and it's not uncomfortable, you can probably leave it in. But I'd take it out soon so that you don't get stretch marks from it or worse, have it work it's way through your skin and break through.

Well there if your doctor hasnt said anything about it, then I wouldnt be too concerned.

Unless it starts hurting you, it shouldnt affect your baby.
But if it starts to hurt or feels like its to small, and you want to keep it pierced they do have these rings for pregnant women, there not very cute as regular ones, but they keep it pierced so you dont have to repierce.

Heres a website for some and what they look like

I would definately recommend you get a ptfe pregnancy bar. I had one, but left it a bit too long before taking my old one out and puting that in, which resulted in a little stretch mark at the top of the hole. So if you plan to get one, do it sooner rather than later. Good luck

i dont think you "have" to take it out at all, unless you have a c-section, they make maternity naval rings, but i know a girl who didnt take hers out till about 7 months and her hole stretched so bad and it lookes really weird to this day.

i think if you're having a baby it's time to grow up and loose the belly button ring :)

i took my navel ring out about 2 years ago, i'm 34 weeks pregnant and my scar hasn't stretched at all.

i just got a pregnancy bar its plastic and really bendy to flex with your skin I'm now 32 weeks and its fine i got it from a body piercers.
but i would see if you can get one of those because i know couple of people who left their original bars in and the skin ripped a bit got infected and they had to take it out anyway.

You take it out when you feel its time to take it out, or you keep it in! Unless your doc says to take it out....
I kept mine in until I was 8 months pregnant and it wouldn't fit because my belly stretched to much.

See how you feel.....

My best friend had her ring in her whole pregnancy and never took it out. She got pretty large too. If your doctor said nothing about it, i do not think it matter. Because your belly button isn't stretching, its your stomach.
