did you ask your family

The welfare system is horrible. How about instead of enabling one family to basically do nothing, help out 10 working families with food stamps???

A lot of fraud goes on too. One parent will work under the table and the other collects welfare and all the freebies that go along with it.

When people actually try to get a job, all benefits are cut. This is ridiculous. Only the cash aid should be cut initially, not the food stamps and health insurance.

I also think it's ridiculous that a woman with school-age children should be allowed to remain on welfare. Hello, your kids are in school now, time to join the working world.

Sorry, I'll stop, I'm beginning to ramble. :-(

Welfare was a good idea back in 1945 when it was started by FDR. However, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Very few people on welfare legitimately need it. I know 1 person who really needs it but she doesn't qualify because she makes too much money ($8.00 per hour). Basically, in order to get on welfare, you need to quit your job or only work part-time, so that's what the people do. They work part-time making money, then they have welfare money coming in, plus they get free housing through section 8, etc. If all you did was rake in money and not have to pay for anything, wouldn't you buy a nice car, too???

I've always wondered this myself. my guess is that they abuse the money Uncle Sam gives them to buy these things. They could lie about the information they put, or they could even be telling the truth, but instead of using their welfare checks to get out of poverty (such as FINDING A JOB!), they just use it to have what wealthy people have, even though the last thing they should be thinking about is having all these fancy things when they're barely making it, and without the help of good ole' Uncle Sam, they would probably not be making it at all! it's common for people to abuse the system, in my opinion. But if you try to look at it from their side, perhaps they feel trapped in poverty and like they're never going to get out of it or move up in society, so they just feel like they might as well squander their govt. income on things such as nice cars, b/c they feel like they have nothing else going for them.

are not getting something too huge. attempt a Mercedes E320CDI. The CDI is a rapid-diesel. I by no capacity cherished luxurious automobiles very lots, and because 9/11, i like them even much less. The E320CDI will run approximately $50K, yet you will get seven-hundred miles on a tank comprehensive. cutting-edge diesels (VW something TDI, Mercedes E classification CDI, Jeep Liberty CDI, and so on.) are sparkling and quiet, like gasoline automobiles, yet run lots extra desirable on a tank. extra desirable than 60% of the international's crude oil comes from 5 center-jap international locations. on condition that 9/11, do you fairly desire to force the biggest, fanciest luxurious motor vehicle you are able to, or do you prefer something tender and useful on gasoline to force? Hybrids? Fuggedaboutit! luxurious hybrids like the Lexus RX400h are built for extra overall performance quite than extra financial gadget. Hybrids will additionally prefer a battery replace whilst they arise into 6 determine mileage (in case you force lots, that would come very rapidly). a sparkling battery %. can run you particularly some thousand funds while you're out of guarantee. fairly sensible human beings (like a chum of mine who's a financial organization govt) purchase automobiles and save them for years. maximum automobiles now incorporate 60K to 100K mile ability practice warranties. in case you have a motor vehicle word for 4 years and additionally you keep your motor vehicle for 8 years (so which you get your comprehensive guarantee mileage out of it), you're employing a motor vehicle for the fee of oil variations, tires, and scheduled upkeep purely for the final 4 years! Diesels purely make up a pair of million% of the passenger motor vehicle industry right here, in the U. S.. Is that unique sufficient for you? A luxurious Diesel, like the E320CDI, make up purely a small fraction of that a million%. does not you prefer to force around all day and notice your gasoline gauge needle slightly flow? ><>
