You may have a glitch with your ipod. But the ipod draws a lot of resources from your comp and that maybe why you cannot process the internet connection and update and charge your ipod at the same time.

You are eathier unpluging something that is related to your internet connection when you plug in your ipod or the ipod takes up the needed bandwith/power necessary to go online when you plug it in. Try contacting apple. They have customer support on their website.

This has happened to me a pair of situations extremely whilst i bypass out to places that have public wifi. verify that your ipod knows the ip tackle. i think of it has do do with the relationship of the modem, no your ipod. from time to time the relationship bar will without notice bypass down and you will unfastened connection. i think of you should look into your router(modem) and consider your settings, to boot as connection. i might prefer which you purchase or use linksys because of the fact it is amazingly speedy and stable for distance and connectivity.i'm hoping this works. if there are the different questions i may be happy to help answer them as superb i will.
