I agree when it's the national team it should be on terrestrial and not have to pay for it on sky.

Alternatively, go down the pub if you're old enough.
Yeah, before I had Sky Sports, it was always annoying, but that's the way money works I'm afraid. If you're really against it that badly, consider that there's a list of protected sports events (Cup final, Wimbledon etc) that have to be on terrestrial TV by law, write to your local MP or something and have a moan.
Then again, consider the fact that twenty years ago, NONE of the England games outside of the major championships were live on TV, not even Sky. At least BBC get the home games and most friendlies as it stands.

I completely agree with you that the England games should be freely available to everyone, not just those with money to spend. However, I've got a way to beat Sky at their own game. I use a website called "My p2p". Within this site is a section called "Sopcast". This section has all the football in it, albeit shown with a delay of around 3-5 minutes. It's as near to live as you can get without using Sky's expensive services. I hope this helps.

It is very hard to know where to draw the line once you start saying that this, this and this is for everyone, and not just for SKY people.
For me the best solution would be to coerce SKY, Virgin and the five free channels to set up a joint broadcasting platform, provide ALL their TV channels to everyone, and split out the licence fee revenue according to viewership figures (or half that and half 'good causes' election outcomes).

Unfortunately, above and beyond everything else, Football is a money making industry, so unless you're willing to put your hand in your pocket you'll have to wait until these matches are televised on the mainstream channels. Alternatively, you could watch them on a mate's TV.

Its like everything in life, you get what you pay for. Unfortunately if you dont want to pay for sky, you only get repeats of the 2nd division.

Coz Rupert Murdoch and his piece of cr*p sky think they can rule the world.
They are totally sacred of competition (as demonstrated with the brawl with "Virgin Media").
I totally agree with you!
Sky monopolise, and demonise.
I HATE SKY! I HATE SKY! I HATE SKY! I HATE SKY! I HATE SKY! I HATE SKY!
