sometimes smart people tend to be arrogant because they know they are smarter than most of their peers.
also, in your defense I am sure you get impatient with the kids that you feel are lazy and don't study as they should to get smarter.
however, the only one you need to make happy is yourself.
who are you trying to make friends with anyway, the kids you think are stupid or the kids you think are too aggressive and like to bully you.
food for thought, ever try certain clubs that you like and meet those kids. birds of a feather flock together

Its probably not that they don't like you- its that they are jealous of you because school comes so easily to you, and they have to work at it. My daughter is in the Gifted Program and she has had others in her regular class tease her and call her "goodie goodie" etc.. because she is so bright. But luckily, she does not pay much attention to it because she knows that in 10 years, she will have a great, high paying job and they will be making minimum wage somewhere, if they're lucky! Don't let them get to you- just be happy with the fact that you are so smart and look at the bigger picture! I would definitely try to hang out with others like you though, who enjoy school and learning. Perhaps there is a club you can join in your school? If not, look around your area for classes or clubs out of school such as music lessons, language classes, etc..

people are just jealous of you because your smart. They are the people who get bad grades and dont do that well in school. One day, you are going to get into a great collage because of a scholarship because your so smart. People necessarily dont "like you" they're just jealous of you.
You have to realize that you are one of the few people you are smart in this world. :)

When I was in third grade, I was doing 8th grade work. I got glasses when I was in 7th grade and have been called "four eyes" and "teacher"s pet" and any number of other names. Generally, those that tease you are jealous of your ability. They make themselves feel better by making fun of you. Don't let them depress you. Try to be friendly but don't give in to becoming like them. I now have three university degrees. I don't know how many of them achieved that.
