i will give you an intro paragraph.

CELL PHONES AND MODERN SOCIETY:

In today's day in age society is confinded to the modern technologies that have been presented to us. One of the objects that conform us in modern society is a cell phone. The cell phone has revolutionized the society as we know it. It not only allows us to communicate with each other easier it allows us to access the internet and thus is a branch way to many other technological advances.

Basically you can drag and drag that on forever you can possibly write a 20 page paper because you said that it is a branch way to other technologies so you can include all of them but dont get too carried away!

hope i helped and Good Luck=]

If you are not stuck on simply cell phones, I'd talk about how pop culture actually influences technology. Dr. Martin Cooper invented the cell phone after watching the communicator on Star Trek; universities are now saying the "beaming things" is no longer fantasy; HG Wells proposed Time Travel and Ron Mallet at MIT says he's figured out how to do it; Jules Verne wrote about the "submarine" long before it was "invented" and now electronic paper and microthin laptops are only a few years away (asked for by businesses and school alike).

Instead of taking the approach of how technology influences culture (which I'm sure MANY people in your class will do), and having to "stretch out" a paper (which is never appreciated by teachers, and is often reflected in grades), use the backwards approach. You'll be surprised how many "pop culture icons" like the cell phone, MP3 player, microwave and laptop were conceived because of science fiction stories - that the culture actually influenced the technology.

If you are bound to the topic, I'd suggest a "timeline" approach - what was life like without them? Interview some people for some quality reference info (not "dragged out" info), talk about how they influence culture today (it's a status symbol just as much as communication device), and how it will evolve over the next few years (a website like www.popsci.com will help with that).

Good Luck!

Include prices of cell phones from when they came out to today. Include who invented cell phones( and include history about this person; that should be about 1 and a half pages!!!) then tell why you decided to write about cell phones.

Hope this helps some!! Good luck!

A black female co-worker told me of a good percentage of blacks owning a cell phone but not having service. It seems they walk down the street looking as if they are talking on the phone but in reality they are talking to themselves.

It is right to make use of assets, however now not wastefully and for frivolous matters. Where sensible we must search renewable and extra considerable assets reminiscent of thorium makes a nuclear reactor that is much less wasteful of the usable thorium isotope that is extra considerable than the usable uranium isotopes.
