I'm 17 and have had my period for 4 or 5 years now. It was always regular but lately it has been coming about a week or sometime up to two weeks early. Why is this? why is my cycle soo short? I'm thinking it coul be some sort of hormonal imbalance because ive been getting more acne than usual as well. cans omebody help me? if it is hormonal what can I do??

Do you have a light period every 2nd week? You can have bleeding around ovulation (2 weeks after period) which is lighter. I have just had this myself. Are you under stress? This can really affect your cycle too. You probably should ask your Dr as if it is hormonal, going on the pill can help regulate your periods and help with the actual hormones (if that is your problem)

You are mostly likely correct. You can go see your OB/GYN and they can start you on birth control. This will help with the acne and straighten out your cycle.
