I see many altruistic worriers. Such empathy is comforting, but it will destroy you.
More specific worriers may be consoled to read the admirable Alda’s answer. It may not lessen the torture, but should add guilt to your selfish woes.

Feeling guilty for griping about things in my life. I need to learn not to watch the 11:00 news. There is nothing in my life that compares to all the stuff going on in the world. Not trying for a "Miss. America, what do you want to do for the world? answer. But seriously that is what keeps me up. Everytime I think something is worth whining about I see someone (just happened here) who just lost their 2 year old to a freak car accident DURING the moms wedding. You have alot of great answers on here...what a fantastic question, I have come to expect that. Alda

When I saw Halfwit Bundy servicing a Great Dane, I got Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I'll never sleep well again... that poor dog... imagine what creepy crawlies she gave him

I walked in on a guy robbing my house in broad daylight and when I turned to run he grabbed the back of my shirt. I still get freaked out when I hear noises at night and walk into the house by myself even though I know he's in prison.

i think about how much i want a good bf and why i always seem to fall for the jerks who want something out of me they cant have. maybe im just weird but that what keeps me up at night.
