Because I have struggled all my life and am now getting a chance to take accounting and would like some motivation
from rags to riches stories

Beleive it or not, being rich isn't exactly that hard once you get college degree.
Just don't spend moneys like water (ie; eating out, buy a car if you don't need one, buy starbuck coffee on regular base, buy new set of wardrobe every season, etc...) Try to invest your moneys in some things that will keep its value such as gold, silver, land, houses, etc... And invest moneys properly.
Today it shouldn't be any problem for someone with college education to become a millionaire (mainly in stock, house and real estate, etc...) if they're wise with the moneys.
No making more moneys isn't the keys to be rich. It's investing moneys wisely that make people rich.
However to be "wealthy" to point where you can drive a ferrari, own a beach front mansion, have a airplane, etc... I really don't know what to say because that has never been my goal. My goal has always been to have a simple life but yet still own few decent things and not really struggle to make end meet.

i dont have any, but 50 cent and eminem sure do, so does jim carrey. look at the lady who wrote harry potter books, she was so poor she wrote on napkins. look at oprah for crying out loud
