Why not with todays technology theres a thin line btw laptop and desktop, but it all depends on the budget you have, if you are always on travel and want to design web page from anywhere go for a laptop, else go for a desktop why cause you can add RAM upto 4GB in a desktop and get duo core proc for a lot lesser than a laptop with 2GB Ram and duo core proc, go for a good IBM or lenovo desktop or a sony vaio laptop as they have good proc power, then use any html editor or if you want flash etc go for macromedia dreamweaver, hope this answers your q.

Hi,
I'm going to become a Web and graphic designer and a great laptop is a MUST have because you need to be portable to go see your clients and if you are going to travel.
I like macs but you said PC and that means Windows operating system.

PS. Dells are great, acers are good too, Dells are good because you can customize them to your needs a budget.

Get a desktop, you could have problems with a laptop.
Use a Mac.

do u know how u built a website? atleast 1GB of RAM and i would say go with Duo Core prosser...
