Both, babies get cranky and nervous in different settings so they usually shut down and sleep, you may have noticed when you take him to a family get together or store he magically falls asleep in your arms or grandmas? That is their way of blocking out the overwhelming situation, but if he is on new meds the combination might be enough to make him doubly crabby, the chances of your baby teething at 2 months is very slim, it usually does not start until at least 4-6 months, I would not give him any kind of tablets since he is already on a medication. It's hard, but just remember "This too shall pass" and pretty soon you won't even hardly remember that cranky baby you'll miss so much!

The medicine could have side effects that are bothing him and of course, he's too young to tell you how he feels. Check w/ your pediatrician to see if there's any side effects that could cause him to be cranky. The other thing could be that since you took him out, it disrupted his schedule and he's been trying, like you, to get back into what he knows as the normal swing of things. My son is VERY schedule-oriented and anything out of the ordinary takes a good week to correct! But, you also can't revolve your life around your baby, they join your lives, not us joining theirs. Continue your routine and if you stray from his schedule, he'll just have to learn to be spontaneous! Good luck!

The cause could be from a change of environment but you should definitely get him checked by a doctor as quickly as possible just to be sure that he is not reacting to the new medicine.

Depends on the type of the medicine. What was it for? But it could be both.

The trip has nothing to do with it. It could be the medicine, it could be his vaccines (the reaction if he got some recently) or it could be that he's teething. If he IS teething, I recommend hyland's teething tablets.. they work wonders!
