Find a retailer selling HG (Holst Gummer) products - they work right time - first time !! Are you aware that over 30% of house fires are now caused by candles ?? Go out and buy hurricane type lamps, they are much much safer than candles in basic holders - you are lucky only to have a stain - last August we had a serious fire out on our patio when a tablecloth was lifted by a slight breeze over a bistro type enclosed candle and subsequently caught fire. The lovely blue plastic table and chairs burnt for about half an hour before we were aware as they dripped without making any smoke. In a bathroom this would be lethal. Invest in either LED or fibre optic lighting for effect in your home and at least if 'events' overtake you or you fall asleep you are still safe in a beautiful mood enduced environment and not in your local Accident and Emergency department.

turpentine (turps) as candles are made up of 90% turps and will, therefore, dilute the stain and take the colour away.
